Port City Church is a high-energy nondenominational church in Muskegon, Michigan, with two campuses: Cloverville and McGraft, and a third campus launching in 2027. The mission is to āReach our City, Restore the Broken, and Release people with Purpose.ā Port City emphasizes helping people meet Jesus, grow in authentic community, discover their gifts, and live on mission. Its worship gatherings include music and biblical teaching, with Sunday services at both campuses and an additional Thursday service at Cloverville. Port City is a family-focused church that helps people of all ages find connection, support, and meaningful next steps. Through ministries for children, students, adults, recovery, baptism, small groups, and serving, the church creates pathways for people to grow in faith and community. Port City is theologically conservative while valuing unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in all beliefs.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Creative Arts & Worship Pastor leads worship at the main campus while providing directional oversight to additional campuses. This role shapes worship culture, develops teams, executes creative vision, and ensures spiritually meaningful, excellent, and aligned weekend environments across the church.
The ideal candidate brings strong character, vocal leadership, emotional maturity, and a low-ego, high-trust posture. They pursue excellence without perfectionism, welcome feedback, develop others, and thrive as a self-starting leader in a fast-moving, vision-driven culture.

Primary Campus Worship Leadership
Serve as the primary lead worshiper at the main campus.
Plan and execute weekly worship gatherings with excellence and intentionality.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure worship environments align with the overall vision and series direction.
Multi-Campus Directional Leadership
Provide directional oversight and vision to worship teams at two additional campuses.
Ensure consistency of culture, standard, and spiritual depth across all three locations.
Develop and empower campus worship leaders to lead with growing autonomy.
Team Development & Culture Building
Actively recruit, audition, and develop musicians, vocalists, and technical creatives.
Build a culture where volunteers are known, developed, and released into ministry.
Lead regular team gatherings focused on both skill development and spiritual formation.
Creative Arts Oversight
Oversee the creative and production elements of weekend gatherings.
Maintain a high standard of quality across audio, lighting, visual, and staging environments.
Continuously evaluate and improve the worship experience with a detail-oriented, iterative approach.
